Home / Physio or chiro?
An honest guideIt's the question our reception team answers most, and almost nobody online answers it straight because most clinics only sell one of the two. We employ both, so we don't care which you pick. Here's the honest version.
Both professions are university-trained, AHPRA-registered, and treat muscles, joints and nerves. The practical difference is emphasis. Chiropractic care centres on the spine and on restoring joint movement, with the adjustment as its signature tool. Physiotherapy centres on movement and capacity, with exercise-based rehab as its engine and hands-on treatment in support.
The overlap is large, and for many complaints either practitioner will help. The differences show at the edges.
Here's what happens at Absolute Health when you guess "wrong": the practitioner examines you, works that out, and walks you to the right colleague in the same building, file and all. The cost of a wrong guess is nothing. That's the entire point of running both professions under one roof, in Mooloolaba and in Nambour.
If you'd rather not guess at all, phone reception and describe the problem in a sentence. Matching it to the right practitioner is their party trick.
Assessment before treatment, a plain-language diagnosis, a plan with an end point, and a referral onward if your problem belongs somewhere else entirely. That's fixed, whichever door you walk through. Book either practitioner at absolutehealth.net.au/online-bookings.
Describe the problem in one sentence when you call. You'll be booked with the right practitioner inside a minute.
